From 12 noon – 1pm every Thursday, Tracy Jones and Heather Noble team up to talk about business in and around the Wrexham area. With a weekly topical discussion, events, reviews and a weekly business leader/ guru they provide an insight into what’s hot and what’s not whilst showcasing new ideas, activities and strategies to help businesses of all shapes and sizes.
So if you work, run or own a business in the Wrexham area this show will help you to keep a finger on the pulse of what’s happening in the local business community and across neighbouring counties.
Tracy’s interest in business stuff began many moons ago, when Melanie Griffith was the “Working Girl” and aspirational business attire was power suits with huge shoulder pads. Whilst studying for A levels, which were intended to project her into a career in engineering, she was part of a Young Enterprise team that won the regional competition and she was hooked.
Business Studies, then IT, then accountancy qualifications; a career in finance with a smattering of IT and HR for good measure; experience in several industries including banking, manufacturing, transport & warehousing, property, entertainment and training; several directorships under her belt and a good stint as a sessional lecturer at a further education college; eight years working as a self employed clinical hypnotherapist (that was a bit of change!); coaching & mentoring……
Tracy’s happy to describe herself as Multipotentialite (Google it) with a leaning towards innovation and strategic planning. Some people don’t “get” her CV but that’s ok.
Alongside her day job, Tracy is also a volunteer business mentor with the Prince’s Trust, non-executive director for Cambrian Credit Union, and Finance Director with Calon Communications Ltd.
All round busy body and chatterbox since she could talk Heather’s career spans many decades and many industry sectors. Using this broad knowledge and experience she works with businesses and individuals to improve their communication skills, leadership and management styles and team cohesion. In a nutshell, she believes that most of her successes (and failures) in life can be attributed to communication competency or in the case of failures, incompetency. She learned the hard way so you don’t have to.
Her passion is people and what makes them tick and she’s a firm believer that the way we communicate with one another has the ability to make or break any situation. Crazy about cats and wine, Heather lives in Shropshire with her husband Stewart.
She is a former company director, school governor and Young Enterprise Business Mentor and is now part of the Rotary Youth Leadership Programme, Vice Chair of Oswestry BID and a Trustee of Qube in Oswestry.
Heather Noble has run her own training and coaching business since February 2009.
